July 25. We set off at 8am to catch a ferry across the Yana river. We reached Talon at 11 am and set off to the Centralny rangers’ station at noon. While en-route we stopped by 2 nests (1 chick each) and 2 nests without chicks/eggs. Flown UAV at all nests. The first nest (M45-100) had a female brooding a very small chick (in first set of down (sic!)). While the drone was hovering in front of the nest, a male arrived with a pink salmon.
The fish delivery by the male with female and the chick present was the best aerial shot of the family life of the eagles ever.
By the end of the day we were at the "Centralniy" ranger's station at the confluence of the Kava and Chelomdja river.
Here is the video of the event.
